First time here and was delishious! I orderd the Monday special! Its a huge portion. I definitely will be coming back. The Modesto sandwich is full of meat and very tasty. Their clam chower is served in a glass bowl. Its just delish confort food. All the staff are nice and give great recommendations.

What a truly amazing hidden gem!! The sandwich I ordered was a mouthwatering delight in every way! I had a hot roast beef sandwich with American and jack cheese. I ordered a full bowl of the Red Pepper Gouda Soup. I savored every spoonful. For my beverage, I had a large root beer. The portions here are generous in size. Everyone here is friendly and helpful.

Excellent customer service! The staff is friendly, attentive, and made everything super easy. Their sandwiches are honestly the best I’ve ever had. I ordered party trays for an event. They were beautifully decorative and delicious! Everyone loved them! I highly recommend this place for both everyday meals and catering events!

My parents used to come here all the time back in the 80’s before they moved away. My dad recommended this place to me and we finally got to give it a shot. It feels like you’re in an 80’s time bubble, nice a clean too. Staff was very nice and do their job well. Thank you for the delicious hot chicken breast pesto sandwich on this cold rainy day and a moment back in time! Will definitely be coming back regularly!!

Sandwiches are giant and delicious for fair prices! But it can take 15 minutes to prepare them even if there's not too big a line. Parking is very tight.

I've been coming here for over ten years and the sandwhiches are still super delicious! Giant portions and it all around has the bests sandwiches i have ever tried. And I'm a sandwhich guy. Love this little shop. Clean and very nice staff. Could get crowded during lunch rush. Reasonable price too! Located right off the 99. Will always be one of my favorite spots.

I have been going to this sandwich shop for years. Today was time i have ever had a questionable sandwich. Im a creature of habit and always have the Modesto Special or the BBQ beef. I ordered the Modesto Special (Roast beef) on wheat. The bread was so tough, I could not bite threw it. I called to inquire how the sandwich was prepared, which they were more than willing to tell me. The manger called me back and apologized for the inconvenience and immediately offered a refund or to replace the sandwich when ever I wanted. Apparently one of the newer employee's cooked the bread too long. The manner in which they resolved the situation was great and I will continue to get my sandwiches from them.
